Carbon neutral production
Climate change demands immediate actions, and as a responsible company in the region, we have responded flexibly, implementing carbon neutral production and launching new projects to further reduce emissions.
ANOTHER STEP TOWARDS A SUSTAINABLE FUTURE
What does it mean? We have started to renew our processes in order to reduce our carbon footprint of our production and offset the remaining carbon emissions by supporting green projects.
But we don't stop here. Following the Paris Agreement and our 2030 Shape tomorrow sustainability strategy, our aim is to create a low-carbon, sustainable business model that makes it clear to everyone that the future is important for us.
Carbon neutral certification is an important milestone, but it is only the beginning of the journey towards sustainable operations. We know that sustainability is the only option.
AND WHAT STEPS HAVE LED TO CARBON NEUTRALITY AND ITS MAINTENANCE?
Green energy usage
By restructuring the sources of electricity we use, we are opening the possibility to use and gradually increase the share of renewable, green energy.
Scope 3
We have also launched Scope 3 emissions mapping, which aims to monitor and reduce emissions from the value chain, such as raw materials, traffic, employee commuting, transport and waste management.
Offsetting
This year, we offset 4,409 CO2 equivalent tonnes of emissions in 2020 through the drip-free gas pipelines project.
Environmental actions
We also support various environmental projects and participate in local environmental actions.
